**The Opportunity**:
We are currently seeking a Sterilisation Technician.
Working in our CSSD Department and reporting to our CSSD Supervisor, the Sterilisation Technician role is responsible for providing optimum patient care through effective sterilisation, preparation and maintenance of instruments and equipment for Theatre.
To be successful in this role:
- You will preferably have some hospital sterilisation or clinical theatre experience (although this is not essential);
- You will be looking to build a career, and open to further training and education (we would support you in obtaining formal qualifications);
- Excellent communication skills are essential; as is your ability to enhance a team environment with your good-natured and cooperative approach to teamwork;
- A high level of organisation and good time management skills are essential.
- You will need to have flexibility to work rostered shifts between 7:00am and 10:30pm, on a rotating basis.
- A level of physical fitness where you can meet the physical demands of the role (including lifting up to 10kg) is required.
