We are looking for a generalist Clinical Pharmacist with the opportunity to develop a specialist interest. We have experience in developing pharmacists coming from a community pharmacy background and would welcome interest from Pharmacists qualified in the UK, USA, Canada and Ireland. We have regular pharmacy student placements and students on the Rural Health Interprofessional Programme (RHIP). There are opportunities to develop services for our local communities in conjunction with our Doctors, Allied Health and Maori Health services.

The successful applicant will be patient focused, team player, with a passion for clinical pharmacy and have excellent communication skills. All pharmacists at Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty work with multi-disciplinary teams as part of their medicines management roles. You can negotiate full time or part time hours to ensure that the position works for you.

We provide services to a variety of specialist and generalist areas. We have great working relationships with our Medical, Surgical, Allied Health and Maori Health colleagues.
We are a small, friendly, and supportive team with a wide range of pharmacy knowledge, international experience as well as education experience. Our team is interested in helping Pharmacists develop and work towards the top of their scope of practice. Whakatāne Hospital is an open environment where healthcare professionals develop collegial relationships.
