The Physiotherapy department delivers quality, patient focused services across all specialty areas on the Burwood Hospital Campus. We - re looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Physiotherapy Assistant with a - can-do - attitude to join our busy Physiotherapy team in Older Persons Health on a permanent basis.

**Ko wai koe | About You;**

In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Departmental duties such as cleaning/maintaining equipment and clinical spaces, checking and maintaining consumables and stock
- Delivering and set up of equipment across the hospital
- Supervision of exercise programmes in both inpatient and outpatients setting
- Assist with the provision and supervision of Hydrotherapy programmes
- Assist the Physiotherapist with the delivery of one to one rehabilitation treatment
- Assist the Physiotherapist with measuring Lymphoedema using bioimpedance
- full training will be given

Your skills will include:

- Strong inter-personal skills and a sound communicator
- The ability to follow direction to assist in the delivery of treatment and rehabilitation plans across Older Persons Health and outpatient settings
- Basic computer skills essential
- Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its relevance to health
- Previous experience in a similar role with a good understanding of health would (desirable)
- Some knowledge of safe manual handling processes would be an advantage
