Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, Te Matau a Māui Hawke’s Bay has an exciting opportunity for an Operational Manager - Medical Workforce, to join the Support Services Group to assist in the delivery of high-quality healthcare for the Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

This is a pivotal role that will provide senior management support to the General Manager, Support Services and will directly contribute to the quality and success of our service delivery in Te Matau a Māui Hawke’s Bay. The role provides leadership across medical workforce support services and is supported by an established group leadership team.

You will need to be self-motivated and results driven as well as enjoy working in a fast paced and ever-changing environment. You will have a passion for making a difference, achieving results and be hungry for a challenge. You will work alongside the wider multi-disciplinary team so being able to work collaboratively is a must.
- A background in Health Services
- Experience in leading and managing a team
- Patient-focused approach
- Proven experience in the delivery of high-quality administration support to medical workforces
- Change management experience
- Quality experience
- A focus on utilising national strategy, matching clinical service requirements with appropriately skilled Registered Medical Officers
