Deli Assistant

Reporting to the Delicatessen Manager you will:

- Ensure all customers are served in an appropriate and timely manner and all customer enquiries are dealt with in an appropriate manner.
- Undertake appropriate Delicatessen Food preparation specific tasks as applicable to the store e.g. cooking chickens / making sandwiches / preparing platters and other customer orders / Slicing Meat / Making Salads/ Making Brookfield's Own Ready to eat Meals.
- Work with customers to ensure their catering requirements are met.
- Ensure Food Safety standards are maintained through completion of appropriate daily, weekly and monthly cleaning and appropriate temperature checks are undertaken regularly.
- On an ongoing basis you will ensure the floors are swept around the deli and rubbish is cleared away to ensure all customers have appropriate access to the case and staff are able to move freely about the department.
- Ensure appropriate stock rotation and fill cabinet appropriately on a regular basis.
- Assist in setting up the cabinet after weekly deep clean.
- Ensure the Delicatessen Cases are appropriately stocked and relevant merchandising standards are maintained at all times.
- Ensure also bags and other packaging materials are fully stocked at all times.
- Complete other housekeeping duties e.g. washing dishes.
