We are looking for a NZ registered midwife with loads of passion and commitment to join our maternity team on a casual/as required bases with the flexibility to work across AM, PM and Nights (you can choose between 8 hr and 12 hr shifts).

We have 1,000 births a year and we can promise that your core midwifery role will be busy and varied - so no two days will be the same. The best thing is that our service is midwifery led so you will get to **_be _**a midwife practising in all the areas you love

You will have the opportunity to work in our nearby primary maternity unit if you are keen too

All midwives welcome to apply You will be committed to women centred and culturally respectful care. As a midwife you will be able to use all of your clinical, time management and organisational skills and expertise across pregnancy, birthing and postnatal care. You will be an important member of maternity service and support us to achieve the broader organisational health care objectives.
- Te Whatu Ora staff must have completed their primary course of two NZ approved COVID-19 vaccinations as they have direct contact with patients and members of the public._

The midwifery team at Nelson-Tasman is awesome We are a midwifery led service with close collegial relationships with our Obstetric and Paediatric teams too The secondary maternity team works closely with our local primary maternity unit so there is the opportunity to work across both sites The team not only make such a positive work environment to be in - they love to get together for social activities too We can guarantee you’ll receive a very warm welcome into our team
