Thank you for your interest in joining our passionate team of nurses and allied health professionals, working in our Forensic Intellectual Disability Inpatient Service located in Christchurch, New Zealand. With an array of mountains, lakes, beaches and wilderness nearby, Christchurch is a great base for exploring the outdoors as well as offering some great choices when it comes to restaurants and shopping in the city.

Now is a particularly exciting time to join our service as we're developing a model of care and building a new high care unit within our current facilities. We are committed to becoming a centre for excellence for ID services.

**Ko wai koe | About You**

We aim to be a leader in New Zealand for the delivery of intellectual disability inpatient services. We have career opportunities for applicants keen to work in an innovative and best practice environment.

In our service, you will play a number of important functions. As a psychologist, your professional expertise will be put to use to guide through risk assessments, diagnoses, and critically deliver individual and group therapy to an intricate but fascinating group of adult patients.

Your professionalism and dedication to providing high-quality patient care will ensure your success in this role, and your communication and time management skills will enable you to function well as a member of the larger multidisciplinary team.

You must be a clinical psychologist who is licensed in New Zealand. For positions in either field, recent relevant experience in a mental health context is crucial, and expertise in intellectual disability is essential for positions in that field.
