Psychologist Whaikaha

**Permanent 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week) position;**:

- ** Primarily based in Whaikaha Secure ID Unit, however there will be opportunities to work across Intellectually Disabled Persons Health (IDPH) and Forensic Mental Health Services.**

We aim to be a leader in New Zealand for the delivery of intellectual disability inpatient services. We have career opportunities for applicants keen to work in an innovative and best practice environment.

In our service, you will play a number of important functions. As a psychologist, your professional expertise will be put to use to guide through risk assessments, diagnoses, and critically deliver individual and group therapy to an intricate but fascinating group of adult patients.

Your professionalism and dedication to providing high-quality patient care will ensure your success in this role, and your communication and time management skills will enable you to function well as a member of the larger multidisciplinary team.

You must be a clinical psychologist who is licensed in New Zealand. For positions in either field, recent relevant experience in a mental health context is crucial, and expertise in intellectual disability is essential for positions in that field.
