An opportunity to take on a Youth Addictions and Mental Health Clinician position now exists within our Youth Intact team. You will be based at our community service hub in central Hamilton with weekly travel throughout our service area.

Ideally you will be a registered AOD practitioner, social worker, registered nurse or health professional holding HPCA/NCAC Counsellor status. You will require a NZQA level 7 or higher qualification in a relevant social service field.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Providing youth friendly evidence based AOD assessment and treatment services, according to the Waikato Youth AOD Model of Care
- Working collaboratively with Youth Workers, Cultural Support, and other providers to engage young people in their recovery
- Providing leadership and training in the Youth INtact leadership service to support the development of Youth AOD and CEP capabilities across the community, primary health and youth mental health sectors in Waikato
- Contributing to ongoing service development and evaluation

**In return we offer**:

- A salary between $65,915 and $73,590 depending on skills and experience
- An allocated pool car for work and transport to and from home
- 22 days annual leave
- 5 days paid study leave per annum

Youth INtact is a new approach to service delivery for rangatahi/young people with problematic to severe alcohol and/or other drug use - offering easily accessible community based assessment and treatment services that are wraparound, holistic and culturally responsive. There are a mixture of school clinics and community-based services, depending on the community needs.
