To succeed in this role you will have the following Essential Experience & Qualifications.
- Have a minimum 3 years of practical Cabinet or Timber Furniture Making or Furniture Fabrication.
- Proven experience in producing high-quality furniture.
- Proven experience in the use of Sketchup and CAD software.
- Proven experience leading teams, scheduling and inventory management.
- Proven experience with Mig welding & general fabrication and Aluminium tube Tig welding.
- Fully conversant with cabinet-making procedures to build from plans, sketches, and elevations.
- Experience with animation, video, and Virtual Reality (VR) would be beneficial in the future.
- Take necessary precautions to remain safe and compliant with Health & Safety policies.

The tools & skills you will be required to use are:

- Cutting, Linishing, Bending, Welding (MIG & TIG)
- Saws, Drill press, Grinders
- Microsoft Teams
- In-House ERP System for Time & Task recording.

Our requirements for this role are:

- Strong attention to detail - no short cuts.
- Ability to work independently and stick to a deadline.
- Ability to manage & maintain your work area and equipment.
- Show up on time, consistently.
- Able to work in our factory located in Kenepuru, Porirua.
- Fit & healthy. Able to handle all day lifting, moving - physical work.
- 30-50hrs per week. To be negotiated.

Your day-to-day tasks will involve:
Construction - Assembling cabinets and other furniture using machinery and hand tools to create standard and custom components of cabinets.

Quality Control - Inspect each completed item to ensure that it has been constructed accurately according to quality control schedules.

Repairs - Repairing cabinets and adjusting manufacturing processes to eradicate the reason for damage

Client Consultation - Working with clients to assist with the design of custom units where required

Training & Development -Training and Development: Training new team members and ensuring that all team members are competent in their roles, motivated and producing excellence.

Continuous Improvement - Implementing strategies to enhance production efficiency and safety.

Health & Safety - Safety Compliance: Enforcing strict safety guidelines and adherence to company policies to avoid hazards. Maintain a Lean environment that is compliant to Health & Safety policies

Work hours:
Monday to Friday from 7 am to 5 pm. You will work a minimum hour of 30 per week. This is a permanent full-time role.

Pay range depending on level of experience: $29 - $41 per hour.

Region of Work: Porirua, Wellington

Pay: $29.00 - $41.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
