**Role description**:
Join a dynamic team focused on delivering comprehensive asbestos-related services. As a Trainee Asbestos Surveyor, your primary role will involve assisting Lead Surveyors, conducting building/site visits to identify the presence of asbestos, and preparing reports. This is a junior-level role requiring rigorous attention to detail and a strong commitment to meeting client needs.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Assisting Lead Surveyors in survey and sampling activities
- Conducting building and site visits to ascertain the presence of asbestos
- Utilizing surveying software for report writing and drawing preparation
- Record sampling data on tablet software
- Ensuring compliance with NZ HSE (Asbestos) Regulations and internal procedures
- Other general surveying & laboratory duties may be assigned depending on workload and laboratory needs

**This role will suit someone with all or some following background/experience/qualities**:

- A background in building, asbestos removal, or environmental health services would be an advantage but is not essential
- Graduate in Sciences with an interest in the field
- Ability to follow detailed directions in a laboratory environment.
- Physical fitness and willingness to conduct field and travel work
- Methodical approach to activities and data recording
- Basic familiarity with computer software like Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Full New Zealand Drivers License
