About the role

Northland District Intelligence co-ordinates intelligence activities for the District, provides support to deployment, operations, response and Investigations, as well as decision-making at the District Leadership level.
The purpose of this role is to contribute to the safety of our people, the prevention of crime and road trauma, and the disruption of criminal activities, by providing supervision of Intelligence analytical and support staff.
You will manage all aspects of staffing including workload, performance and development, and appointments, together with being responsible for the allocation of work and quality assurance of products. You will ensure the unit provides reliable, accurate and timely intelligence products to decision-makers. The role within our organisation is to deliver (or enable others to) ‘Our Business’.

You will work closely with the Intelligence Collections Co-Ordinator and report to the District Manager of Intelligence. This position would suit someone with supervisory experience and a positive mindset who can lead, motivate, and develop a high performing team. You will be innovative in your thinking and your enthusiasm and interpersonal skills will be able to develop high trust and effective relationships. Whilst experience in Intelligence is desirable, it is not essential.

- Experience with structured intelligence products and processes including maintaining quality over final released products.

- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively at all levels (internally and externally) to achieve desired outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse and agile environment including constructive conflict management.

This role is set at Team Leader/Manager level, this means your key purpose is “to lead the activities for Our Business and enable people to deliver them.”
