Tiling Foreman

Tile Masters Limited is a New Zealand-owned and operated tiling company. We have grown into a successful, thriving business over the last six years of operation. We deliver excellence in tiling floors, kitchens, bathrooms etc. to ensure a completely stunning look.

We are now looking for an experienced tiling foreman to join our friendly team.

**About this role**:

- This is a permanent, full-time role
- Expected work hours are 40 hours-50 hours per week
- 5-6 days per week, Monday to Saturday

**Tasks and responsibilities**:

- Affix ceramic, slate, marble, and glass tiles to walls and floors, using glues, grout, and cement
- Construct small walls and steps from bricks or blocks
- Examine plans, measure and making surfaces and lay out work
- Prepare wall and floor surfaces by removing ole tiles, grout and adhesive, filling holes and cracks, and cleaning surfaces
- Spread adhesive onto prepared surfaces and tiles and set tiles in position
- Use tile-cutting tools to cut and shape tiles needed for edges and corners & around objects fittings and pipes
- Ensure tiles are correctly aligned and spaced
- Lay floors of granolithic, terrazzo, cement or similar composition
- Lay coloured tiles in patterns to create mosaic
- Lead, coach, train and mentor staff members to deliver high quality outcomes on budget
- Quality control of the work process and regular site inspections
- 3 years of relevant tiling industry work experience
- Experience as a supervisor/foreperson is a must
- Team-orientated, the ability to motivate, drive and mentor team members
- Good communication, organisational and operational skills
