Te mahi - The role
The position offers a unique opportunity for an established academic to join a progressive, collegial, and internationally significant department with a proud teaching and research record, and a growing Pacific student cohort. It is expected that the appointment will be made at the level of Associate Professor or Professor dependent on academic achievement, skills and experience.

- a PhD with a research focus in any area of Psychology or a closely related discipline.

- strong ability to contribute to teaching and learning environments that support engagement of Pacific students, staff, and community.

- excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate in one or more Pacific language is an advantage.
- a commitment to developing collaborative working relationships with colleagues in the Department and the wider University.
- evidence of leadership skills and a strong desire to take a leadership role in supporting Pacific student and staff success and wellbeing.
- commitment to upholding values, tikanga, kawa and traditions as guided by Ngāi Tahu, who are mana whenua in the region.

**Salary range for this position is**: Associate Professor $143,671 to $157,331/Professor 163,851 to $197,555.
