**About the role**:
We're on the hunt for a web publishing guru who can bring their exceptional editing, publishing, and organisational skills to the role of Gazette Officer. The New Zealand Gazette (gazette.govt.nz) is the official journal of constitutional record of the New Zealand Government and is a fully online publication.
Working as part of a small team you'll be responsible for preparing the Gazette content for publication, including but not limited to:
- Preparing, proofreading and publishing notices.
- Ensuring notices are accurate, error-free, and consistent to style.
- Proactively working to ensure timelines and publishing deadlines are met.
- Being hands on providing customer and administration support as needed.
- Adapting to feedback to continually improve quality and performance.
Salary band is from $58,573 - $71,576. This appointment will be made dependent on relevant skills and experience to the role.
**About You**:
With a naturally collaborative working style you'll be a positive team player who can bring proven editing and proofing experience to help us deliver a high quality online service to our customers.
We are ideally looking for someone to be available every day totalling 20 hours over the week. This may suit someone who is returning to the workforce or looking for a step up or first role in this field.
**This will include the following**:
- High attention to detail.
- Being adaptable, a quick learner and able to flex as needed.
- Confident working to tight deadlines and able to manage varying workloads.
- Experience in HTML formatting and a knowledge of the NZ Government Web Standards is desirable.
- A degree or relevant industry experience.
- Excellent customer management skills with a positive "can do" attitude.
- Excellent understanding of English grammar and syntax.
- Exceptional team player, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
