Supervisor/superintendent

Due to a growing forward workload, we are seeking a Superintendent to join our Tauranga based Civil Construction project team.
**The Role**:
- Lead the civil construction works for the Rangiuru Business Park Project valued at $50M. As Superintendent you will be responsible for the onsite leadership, organisation and supervision of the civil construction team including subcontractors - ensuring productivity, programme, safety and quality targets are met within budget. This role is critical to the project and requires a strong people leader who holds safety at their core and motivates their team to achieve project milestones.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Supervising and control of workface activities; civils, pavements, structures.
- Co-ordinate direct supervisors, foreman, labour and subcontracted resources necessary to deliver the project.
- Co-ordinate the procurement of plant for the successful delivery of the project within delegated authority levels.
- Assist in the implementation of engineering and technical solutions necessary to deliver the project.
- Engage team in all aspects of health, safety, quality and environmental priorities, ensuring best practice and continuous improvement in this space.
**About You**:
- You will be a seasoned construction leader, with commitment to ensuring a safety-first culture is installed in your teams work practice. This is a project management position; you will put your people first and support your team to achieve operational objectives.
- Minimum 10+ years construction experience, with at least 5+ in a leadership/supervisory role.
- Strong forward planning, programming and construction coordination ability.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to build strong working relationships.
- Demonstrated decision-making ability, proven experience in growing/developing teams.
