Highwater is an award winning Eatery. We serve some of the best produce-driven modern NZ cuisine in Wellington. We offer dishes and beverages that are; sustainable, seasonal, flavoursome and of the highest quality and consistency - nearly everything we deliver from the kitchen to the table are made entirely in-house.
Our stunning open plan kitchen is led by our Head Chef with 20+ years of experience which presents an exceptional opportunity for an established chef to assist the head chef in all aspects of the running of the kitchen.
The role itself involves prep, running a section, assisting with managing Junior Chef's and general kitchen duties while ensuring quality, timelines and consistency is maintained. There will be the opportunity to learn how to make small goods, butchery, cure, pickle, ferment and smoke, to have some creative input and learn about wine - if that’s your thing.
We are a close knit team - so your personality, teamwork, commitment, positive attitude and work ethic are also really important attributes for this role.
For this role, you will need to have;
- Previous cooking experience
- A desire to achieve to the best of your ability
- Attention to detail
- A willingness and the ability to follow instructions - for safety and consistency.
