**K**ō**rero m**ō** te t**ū**ranga - About the role**

This role provides an opportunity to join a team acknowledged to be world leaders in the development of biological control for serious invasive weeds. This role is to assist with the co-ordination and successful implementation of Natural Enemies - Natural Solutions (NENS) programmes for invasive plants in the Pacific. Manaaki Whenua - Landcare Research is the lead provider for NENS under the Pacific Regional Invasive Species Management Support Service (PRISMSS). This role will provide key support to ensure projects run smoothly and are well co-ordinated with related work, as well as assisting with building enduring capability and support for NENS in the Pacific. The role will involve all aspects of project management, the planning and delivery of activities and events, assisting with communication about NENS, responding to requests for assistance and developing new projects.

The starting remuneration would be between $62,366 and $78,825 per annum, depending on relevant experience.

**Ō pūmanawa - About you**

You will have experience with working in the Pacific and a tertiary qualification in a relevant area (or equivalent experience). Ideally you will have some background in science (especially ecology, botany, entomology, or plant pathology) and/or experience in development/aid projects. Previous NENS experience is not essential as we can provide training in that. You will have strong communication and project management skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. You will be resourceful and adaptable, able to build strong relationships and collaborations and travel internationally as required. You will need to be able to work in New Zealand.
