The TeamYou will be working within the Rural Mental Health Team which sits within the South East Adult Community Teams. The Rural team is a multi-disciplinary team with shared decision making that focuses on providing assessment and treatment for consumers who present to the service with serious or acute mental disorders.
The Role
In this role you will work within our Adult General Service as part of our integrated system. Here you will enjoy a variety of presentations in your role involving input into both new admissions and under care work.
This role is a permanent part time (up to 0.8FTE) role within the Rural Mental Health Team. The Rural Team is based in Christchurch, covering wider Canterbury from North Canterbury to Kaikoura, Hanmer, Cheviot in the North, Akaroa in the East, Springfield in the West and to the Rakaia River in the South.
We are interested to hear from Psychiatrists who have experience in adult mental health which could include inpatient, outpatient, alcohol and drug service and rehabilitation. You will work within quality driven, forward thinking multidisciplinary teams where collaboration and professionalism are at the fore. No two days will be the same.
You will use your specialist knowledge and clinical expertise to deliver innovative acute and long-term care that meets individual - s needs. As a Psychiatrist you will enjoy having a lead role in our established multidisciplinary teams and have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of our client centred frameworks.
