**About the Role**:
In this role, the main emphasis is on providing expert insurance guidance and products to ensure clients have suitable coverage for any insurable event. The Broker - Commercial holds crucial client relationships, advising on risk consulting, crafting and presenting proposals, and driving growth in the existing portfolio and new business prospects.
**Your daily tasks will include but are not limited to**:
- Demonstrate our values, aligning actions with our mission to secure clients financially against insurable events.
- Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring trust and brand loyalty, and handling renewals and alterations promptly.
- Resolve client queries and collect premiums within specified timeframes.
- Provide compliant product advice tailored to specific needs, including premium funding and cyber risk.
- Enhance knowledge of clients' businesses and industries to offer trusted advice and grow the portfolio.
- Implement strategic plans to achieve annual targets and develop new business opportunities.
- Foster business confidence through relevant relationships and strategic alliances.
- Contribute to business strategy and planning in line with current market trends.
- Coach Broker Support Staff for independent client management.

**Key Requirements**:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Insurance Broker
- Either working towards or have a Certificate in Financial Services (NZQA Level 5)
- Familiarity with New Zealand insurance policies and regulations
- To be able to influence though logical and factual communication through confidently articulating key points.
- Create easily understandable written materials to engage stakeholders and address impromptu queries.
- The ability to problem solve by understanding complex issues, evaluate data and overcome barriers to move situations forward.
- Be driven by results through taking personal accountability, demonstrating self-sufficiency and setting challenging yet realistic goals.
- Be resilient and open to change by maintaining high performance and contributing ideas and changes when facing challenges to enhance efficiency and overcome obstacles.

- Be confident when negotiating without damaging relationships based on changing circumstances and clearly present pros and cons to influence by in.

- Have the technical ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of policy wordings, extensions, and limitations. Be able to evaluate insurance products for complex client’s needs and recognize when specialist information is required for under writing complex risks.
