**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

Te Pūriri o Te Ora Regional Cancer and Blood Service, based at Auckland City Hospital, is the leading provider of cancer care in the Auckland region, serving a large and varied population of around 1.7 million people.

A rare opportunity has become available as the Regional Lead for the Cancer Support Team - Northern Region. Providing psychosocial leadership to the teams, you will work at a local, regional and national level to improve access to quality psychosocial care for cancer patients. You will lead and contribute to regional and national projects and provide people leadership to the Cancer Support team based at the regional cancer centre at Te Toka Tumai. You will undertake clinical work alongside your leadership responsibilities.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**

To be successful for this role, you will be a NZ Registered Psychologist or NZ Registered Social Worker, holding a current annual practising certificate.

You will also be motivated, collaborative and flexible and able to work both autonomously within a multi team context. You will be able to demonstrate a clear vision and aptitude for the way a Psychologist / Social Worker can contribute effectively within this setting.
