**Mō te tūnga - About the Role**

Older Person's Health Specialist Service (OPHSS) is primarily based at Christchurch Campus. OPHSS consists of three specialist services to cater for the unique needs of older people. Services cater to persons living within the Waitaha [Canterbury] geographical area who are aged 65 years and over, as well as persons 50-65 years with dementia.

**Pehea | About You**
- Clinical Nurse Specialist - Older Persons Health & Rehabilitation
- Provide clinical leadership for rehabilitative nursing practice
- Enhance a rehabilitation model of care
- Adhere to guidelines of Cultural Safety and the Treaty of Waitangi

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- You will be an experienced Registered Nurse with a current NZ practicing certificate - this is a senior nursing role
- You will be an advanced nursing practitioner with exceptional patient assessment skills
- You will have completed a Level 8 Health Assessment paper is essential
- Enthusiastic, motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage a wide variety of people, is paramount in this role
- Ability to share and demonstrate specialist knowledge and skills
- You will hold, or currently be working towards, Level 8 post graduate qualification
- Ability to develop nursing standards with experience in teaching, mentoring and coaching
