**GSE Technician**:
- Country/Region: Ne- City: AucklandWe are looking for a **Ground Services Equipment (GSE) Technician** to join the team at **Auckland Airport.**
As part of the Babcock New Zealand family our team service, repair and maintain all of Air New Zealand’s Ground Services Equipment (GSE).
We need your all-round mechanical skills to ensure we maintain the level of service our client expects.
This role will follow a 4 on 4 off shift (12 hours) pattern affording you a 4 day weekend on a regular basis.
**About the role**
The purpose of this role is to inspect, assess, test, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and/or refurbish fleet equipment including ground support equipment. This role draws from electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic maintenance expertise either as a single discipline or in any combination of these disciplines depending on the specific context of the role. Some contexts may include welding capability.
**About you**
- Mechanical or Electrical Trade Certification or equivalent experience
- Extensive experience in servicing and maintaining machinery and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings
- Proficient in either Auto Electronics, Fabrication, or Diesel Mechanical
**Key responsibilities will include**
- Inspecting, assessing, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing and/or refurbishing designated technical equipment
- Regular maintenance of workshop equipment
- Assisting in the training of other personnel in the maintenance, repair and refurbishment of equipment and associated processes
- Supporting the Workshop Supervisor (or similar) to achieve workshop and/or service targets and objectives
- Identifying new or improved work procedures
- Inspection of inwards goods and items required for the service process
- Completion of documentation associated with the equipment service, maintenance, repair, and/or refurbishment processes.
- Assistance in special projects and investigations as required.
- Managing own performance within the team
