About the Role - Catering Assistant:
Are you passionate about maintaining cleanliness and organisation in a dynamic kitchen environment? The Blue Door is currently seeking a diligent and dedicated individual to join our team as a Catering Assistant.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain clean and tidy working areas to prevent cross-contamination.
- Thoroughly clean cooking and general utensils used in the kitchen and restaurant areas.
- Handle tasks such as transferring, weighing, and checking supplies and equipment to support kitchen operations.
- Assist in assembling and preparing ingredients for cooking.
- Pack food and beverage trays for efficient serving during busy periods.
- Undertake cooking, toasting, and heating of simple food items as needed.
- Ensure the quality and proper storage of food supplies.
- Report maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues.
- Adhere to health, safety, and food safety legislation.
- Demonstrate environmental awareness.

Qualification, Experience, and Attributes Required:

- Excellent food hygiene practices.
- High standard of personal hygiene and presentation.
- Ability to thrive in a small, high-paced, and high-volume environment.
- Punctual, organised, and capable of multitasking with attention to detail.
- Team player with effective communication skills.

Pay & Benefits:

- Full-time permanent employment.
- Minimum of 30 hours/week guaranteed.
- Hourly rate ranges between $26.00 -$30.00.
