**Te kāinga rua | The opportunity**
Make an impact in this planning delivery role where you will work in partnership with our clients who are doing incredible things every day. You will primarily be helping to deliver community shaping projects across Te Waipounamu, with opportunities to be involved more broadly across the country. This role will enable you to take the next step in your career, building your technical understanding, working with clients, and leading projects that shape our taiao.
You will join a tight-knit and supportive team that is known and respected for their high-quality planning and environmental consulting advice to a diverse range of clients. You will have the opportunity to work with Waka Kotahi, Ministry of Education, KiwiRail, regional and district councils local Iwi, Rūnanga and Hapū and several other local authorities and agencies. You will be part of a team that is proud of their work as trusted advisors on community shaping projects across the Te Waipounamu and around Aotearoa New Zealand.
In this role, you will have plenty of scope to grow with significant career development opportunities. We will provide you with exposure to complex projects and clients from strategic and policy planning through to statutory planning. You will be working in a nationwide practice and have the opportunity to learn from some of the county’s best planning practitioners as part of multi-disciplinary teams including ecologists, landscape architects, water quality scientists and engineers.

With a few years of experience under your belt you will be looking to make the next step in your career as someone passionate about making a difference across the Te Waipounamu. You will be looking for an opportunity to work as part of a team that delivers complex and meaningful community, infrastructure and development projects. We are looking for a savvy, innovative and commercially minded professional with a sense of humour to join our fun and inclusive team.
You will need to have a working knowledge of the Resource Management Act 1991, with some good experience in statutory, strategic and/or policy planning. This position requires excellent communication and collaborative skills, and a broad understanding of a range of disciplines related to planning matters.
