Café Istanbul Tauranga

Our busy restaurant, located at shop 3/47 Cherrywood Drive Otumoetai, Tauranga is seeking two experienced and/or qualified Cooks.

The job is permanent. The minimum working hours is 30 hours per week including weekends with the hourly rate ranging from $27.00 to $29.66.

To be successful in this role you must be able to perform following key tasks:
Prepare, cook and season a range of new and existing Mediterranean and Turkish dishes

Perform stock and re-ordering of food items from suppliers

Provide training to other kitchen staff

Ensure efficient operation of kitchen at all times

Implement health, safety and hygiene standards

Relevant cookery qualification or

At least 1 year of previous working experience as a cook

Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service

Flexibility to work around a rotating roster, will be expected to work weekends

Demonstrated ability to work in a safe, hygienic and professional manner

A visa allowing to work for us or be a New Zealand resident or citizen.
