**The Role**

This is a hands-on individual contributor role, with the opportunity to lay new foundations for FileInvite’s approach to design, while supporting the delivery of our next generation product with high-quality design research, UX, IA and UI design.

Reporting into the VP of Product & Engineering and working cross-functionally with Product Management and Engineering, you will thrive in an agile environment where you can make a significant impact on how we design for our customers and users using data and insights to drive your decisions.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Advocating a human-centred approach, leveraging insights about our prospects, customers and users to inform and enhance our product decisions
- Create designs, UX architecture and functionality that simplify complexity and meet best practice accessibility guidelines
- Ownership of the full design process from customer and JTBD research, discovery, prototyping through to testing and handoff within timelines
- Lead and establish FileInvite’s design processes including tooling setup, core design principles and upkeep of the design system. Closely work with Engineers to build components that seamlessly fit into a larger component library/style guide
- Partner with Product Management and Engineering to identify customer and user needs and strategic opportunities arising from experience design; prioritise discovery and design work, set and achieve goals
- Collaboratively ideate, iterate, and validate designs with customers, conducting workshops, user research and user testing.
- Smoothly and efficiently hand off to engineers, ensuring the details are communicated clearly
- Act as the main point of contact for Product Design, providing updates to internal and external stakeholders and ensuring alignment and buy-in

**About You**:

- Demonstrates a strong track record in user experience design, product design, service design or related in either an agency or inhouse; Software-as-a-Service experience preferred
- A curious mindset with a commitment to customer discovery and validation, user testing and innovating new ideas to drive business results
- An understanding of B2B markets and software and how to design scalable and seamless solutions that solve our customers’ problems
- Demonstrated experience designing and shipping end-to-end products that simplify complex or complicated workflows, and handle multiple scenarios and edge cases elegantly
- Expertise conveying ideas and concepts through storyboarding, wireframing, and prototyping
- Mastery on design tools including Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD
- A high level of self-awareness and excellent communication, with high customer empathy and the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to a range of different stakeholders
- A dazzling portfolio demonstrating your strong craft in UI/UX design
- A deep understanding of design principles and common design patterns
