**CHECKOUT SUPERVISOR**

New World Stanmore is a great community supermarket in the heart of Christchurch. We have had an exciting full time role come available as Checkout Supervisor for our store.

This will be a Sunday to Thursday role including some opening and some closing shifts.

Are you passionate about Customer Service? Are you a self-starter that is able to work unsupervised? Are you a people person with good communication skills? If so, we currently have a vacancy for a full time Checkout Supervisor.

**The role will involve the following**:

- Organising the checkout team, arranging breaks
- Authorising alcohol/tobacco purchases
- Problem solving
- Customer service - scanning and packing groceries
- Stocking shelves/facing up; helping the Grocery team when Checkout is quiet
- Cleaning of checkout areas

**The person we are looking for will have the following attributes**:

- Have a passion for giving excellent customer service and going the extra mile for our customers
- Be able to work well in a team, but also be able to complete tasks unassisted in the required timeframe
- Must be able to show initiative and be honest and reliable
- Must have a positive approach to their day and have a ‘can-do’ attitude
- You must also be physically fit as it involves being on your feet all day
- A liquor duty manager certificate is required

Overseas applicants must hold New Zealand citizenship, New Zealand Permanent Residency or a Valid New Zealand Work Permit.
