Workshop Controller

Ashburton Toyota have a position available for a Workshop Controller that has a strong customer focus and exceptional time management skills. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.

We’re looking for someone that is exceptional with customers, loves being part of a team and thrives under pressure. You will also need to have sound mechanical knowledge and have strong computer skills.

This role would suit a technician looking at making the next step in their carrier off the tools but still being strongly involved with the day-to-day life of a technician.

You will be responsible for:

- Running the day-to-day service jobs
- Meeting customer deadlines
- Allocating jobs to technicians
- Estimating repair costs
- Clearly communicating job progress and options with customers
- Invoicing
- Meeting productivity and efficiency targets
- Assisting the Service Advisors with technical queries

This role is the hub of the service department, you are the connection between the technicians, service advisors, parts advisors, sales team, and our customers. You will be an integral part of the team that keeps everything running smoothly.
