**Te turanga - The role**
We're recruiting for a Senior Statistical Analyst who will focus on the creation and development of new and existing data collections. In this role you will be involved in the design and analysis of collections from financial institutions, working closely with colleagues across the Bank to enable decision making and meet policy data needs.

The Data Projects team has a clear focus on delivering large-scale data projects with multi-year horizons. As we move towards being more data-driven, you will contribute to shaping our future by working with data in different ways to deliver new insights and inform policy decisions.

We're looking for someone who creates connections, who collaborates and advocates for mutually beneficial partnerships. You'll be the kind of person who translates complexity into simple terms to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical people along with having a passion for data, analysis and creating insights.

Ideally, we're looking for people with:

- A tertiary degree in statistics, data science, finance, economics etc
- Experience creating and developing data collections or products
- Great knowledge of financial reporting, including banking or non-banking deposit takers
- Critical and analytical thinking skills
