**he role**:
Our well-established Mechanical team is known for their high-quality engineering solutions and first-class service. From one project to the next you could be working on universities, sports centres, hospitals, schools and more. The core focus of the role revolves around the design of mechanical systems, such as heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and plumbing systems. You’ll collaborate closely and liaise with clients, architects, project managers, councils and contractors as well as provide support to the Christchurch based Mechanical Directors, Senior and Junior Engineers. The Mechanical team are passionate about incorporating sustainable designs solutions to their projects.

**About you**
We’re ideally seeking an intermediate level Mechanical Engineer with the following;
- Hold a tertiary degree in mechanical engineering, or similar.
- Have an understanding in designing HVAC systems, such as, humidity and BMS.
- An interest or experience in sustainable building design would be highly regarded.
- Ideally has 2-5 years’ experience gained from within the building services industry.
- Experience in managing the design process for mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with clients, architects, project managers, councils, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and build strong professional relationships.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
- Experience with design software, such as CAD, Revit, or similar
