We have a vacancy for an experienced Senior Clinical Engineering Technician / Senior Biomedical Engineering Technician to join our Clinical Engineering Department at North Shore Hospital. As a member of the Clinical Engineering team, you will promote safe, high quality and effective Clinical Engineering services and support the organisation by ensuring that medical devices are fit for purpose and are maintained accordingly to the appropriate standards.
We are looking for someone with a relevant qualification (diploma, trade or undergraduate degree) in electrical engineering or electronics to assist with the medical/clinical equipment maintenance, repair and support of clinical instrumentation and equipment.
Preference will be given to applicants with proven skills in the electronic aspects of medical equipment safety and maintenance. Previous experience within the healthcare sector and a current EWRB practicing license are also a requirement.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as a professional team player attitude, are essential.
This is a full time position working 40 hours per week, primarily based at our North Shore Hospital site but may be temporarily deployed to Waitakere Hospital if needed.
