Come and work at** Community Alcohol and Drug Service (CADS), **New Zealand’s largest Alcohol and Drug Service. CADS covers the greater Auckland area and provides a range of addiction services to many thousands of people each year, with over 240 staff from a range of professional backgrounds, including Medical, Psychology, Nursing, Allied Health including Consumer and Peer Support.

CADS operates from six main sites across Auckland (Takapuna, Manukau, Henderson, Kingsland, CBD and Pt Chevalier). We provide a wide range of services, from Intake, Assessment and Counselling both individually in groups. Medically assisted treatments include opioid replacement treatment, inpatient and outpatient managed withdrawal, medical stabilisation and support of GPs and other health professionals.

We are seeking an Addiction Specialist (Certificate Addiction Psychiatry or FAChAM), or registered Medical Practitioner willing and eligible to train* in Addiction to join our team We will consider full or part time hours. You will be based largely with our Auckland Opioid Treatment Service (AOTS) at Pitman House in Point Chevalier (or as agreed, at one/some of the other CADS Units). Depending on your training needs, professional background and areas of interest, there will be various opportunities to work at the wide range of CADS Services described above.
