Northland Kindergarten

The kindergarten is situated in the suburb of Northland, a well-established, high socio
- economic area close to central Wellington. The community is geographically widespread and increasingly culturally diverse. Due to its close proximity to the city, the community has a number of Early Childhood Centre's to choose from such as Montessori, crèche, day-care, play centres, and private for profit or community based early childhood centres.

As a Part-time Teacher you will work 24 hours per week:
Mon (4.75hrs) 11.45am - 4.30pm

Tue (4.75hrs) 11.45am - 4.30pm

Wed (4hrs) 11.45am - 3.45pm

Thu (5.25hrs) 8.00am - 1.45pm (with 1/2hr unpaid break)

Fri (5.25hrs) 8.00am - 1.45pm (with 1/2hr unpaid break)

**We are licensed for 41 children and operate as a full year model kindergarten.**

Our children attend for 6 hours each day. You will join our team of 4 other trained and registered teachers.

We are looking for an ECE teacher who:

- demonstrates their commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and actively promotes a bicultural programme.
- fosters children’s interest in music, movement, arts and drama.
- is a reflective practitioner who recognises and responds to children’s learning and uses their understanding to support the team in designing the curriculum
- is committed to working with parents as partners in their children’s education.
