This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week.
The remuneration range for this role is $88,738 to $125,277, ideally looking to recruit between $88,738 to $104,398 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.
The opportunity
The Senior Advisor - LGOIMA plays a vital role within our governance team by reviewing, reporting and providing insight to key internal and council stakeholder's, to ensure responses are made for requests under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act (LGOIMA) relating to the capital delivery programme.
You will be responsible for ensuring that key internal stakeholders are briefed on the nature of requests and that requests are responded to within the act's timeline requirements. This will require good customer and stakeholder engagement to best understand the nature of the request and that it is responded to with confidence.
Alongside this, you will support the reestablishment of the Board's Major Projects Subcommittee to align the meeting and its content with internal governance and the broader quarterly Board work programme. This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark on a crucial area of governance for the company and our shareholders.
About you

**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Have experience responding to and working within Official information Act or LGOIMA
- Possess a high aptitude and understanding of the Privacy Act
- Have excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Have the ability to resolve issues and get to the heart of an issue within a customer facing role
- Be highly skilled in Administering, and being a trusted secretariat advisor
- Be experienced in advising and briefing organisational leaders
- Thrive in a collaborative environment and be a team player.

About us
Wellington Water is the Wellington region's professional water services provider. We are 100 percent council owned and funded by Wellington City, Hutt City, Porirua City, and Upper Hutt City councils, Greater Wellington Regional Council and South Wairarapa District Council. 
Our councils own the water infrastructure in the region, and they task us to manage the infrastructure and deliver water services to their communities. 
Our job is to provide safe and healthy drinking water, collect and treat wastewater, and ensure the stormwater network is well managed. We do this on behalf of our council owners.
