Are you a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse looking for a rewarding opportunity in a calm and supportive environment? We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Medical Day Stay Unit, where you will provide excellent care to patients undergoing various medical procedures and treatments based at Tauranga Hospital.
As a registered Nurse in MDSU, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients receiving scheduled medical treatments, such as infusions, minor procedures, and diagnostic tests. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety, comfort, and smooth transitions through the unit. This role involves patient assessment, monitoring, medication administration, and providing education to patients and their families.
We are offering a 10-month fixed-term part-time position working 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week).

Responsibilities include:
- Delivering compassionate and effective nursing care to patients undergoing various procedures.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participating in the on-call rota for our 24/7 out-of-hours acute endoscopy service after comprehensive training.
- Adhering to best practices and protocols to maintain safety and quality standards.
What we are looking for:
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Prior experience in a hospital setting is preferred but not essential.
- Possession of a valid driver's licence and registered personal vehicle.
- Ability to commute within a 20-minute radius from the hospital.
- Enthusiasm for learning and a commitment to professional development.
