Pastrycook

YW Gourmet Food Ltd T/A Yue’s Dumpling Kitchen provides top-class dumpling and other Chinese dishes in North Shore Auckland. We now need two Pastrycooks to help us to provide top-quality food. This is a full-time job with guaranteed hours of 35 hours per week.

The job involves the following tasks and duties:

- Maintaining the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
- Checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients
- Preparing raw materials for pastry dishes
- Preparing dumpling fillings
- Making and cooking dumplings
- Cooking and making other pastry dishes on our menu
- Emptying, cleaning, and greasing cooking equipment
- Other reasonable tasks required by management

To qualify for the job, you need to have at least 3 years of relevant work experience or at least level 4 bakery-related qualifications. You should have a can-do attitude and be able to work under pressure since our restaurant is extremely busy during peak hours. You should also have good interpersonal skills in order to coordinate duties in the kitchen.
