The team of Te Hau Ranga Ora are excited to offer this opportunity for an enthusiastic, confident, and passionate person who is committed to delivering whānau centred services within Te Whatu Ora - Whanganui Hospital.

The role of the Haumoana navigator is to work with and assist patients, tangata whaiora & whānau on their journey while in hospital and in their journey towards achieving health and wellbeing and to develop skills and knowledge that will build on their strengths and develop confidence to actively realise their aspirations as whānau.

To participate as a member of the Te Hau Ranga Ora team to guide, mentor and work with staff and clinical leaders to provide services that are whānau, family centered and work in a way that respects Māori values and beliefs by upholding the Te Whatu Ora - Whanganui Hospital values.

**Ko koe tēnei | About you**

Ideally you will have established networks within our local community as well as wider networks across sectors. You must have a demonstrated understanding of the philosophy of whānau centred care, have effective working relationships and will be proficient in te reo me ōna tikanga and whakawhānaungatanga. You will have proven advocacy, brokerage and coaching skills and will be able to walk and work confidently across Te Ao Māori and Te Ao Pakeha within Te Whatu Ora - Whanganui Hospital service environment linking whānau back into the community.
