We’re looking for a confident, experienced, and pragmatic Container Dispatch Lead working full-time in a hands-on role based out of our Upper Hutt Support Office and Factory.

This role is a key role in our factory team, and has responsibilities across operations, management, building labour, and health and safety. Please note that this is a very physical role requiring significant lifting.

The key responsibilities are:

- Managing the safe picking and collation of all house pack materials ready for packing and then strategically packing the container to ensure all materials are safely and securely packed for delivery anywhere in New Zealand. Note that this requires significant lifting and manoeuvring of heavy goods including windows, frames, wall panels, floor and ceiling materials.
- Responsible for factory workflow to ensure that all components of the housepack are completed, and all packing is then finalised by the due date for dispatch.
- Preparing all goods for dispatch, including completing all required container documentation and checklists.
- Management of all goods in and out, including facilitating deliveries, loading and unloading materials, managing inventory of materials in factory.
- Building tasks supporting licensed building practitioners such as cutting, machining, creating building components such as rafters and frames, and window installation,
- Key liaison between factory team and head office team to ensure smooth operation, including attending management meetings and taking a key role in health and safety management.

The key skills and experience are:

- Strong and agile: lifting heavy goods and packing containers is a significant part of this role
- Forklift licence required along with a NZQF Level 2 or 3 qualification or 1 year of work experience in a similar field.
- Previous experience of building labour and using hand and power tools
- Demonstrated experience managing a wide range of stakeholders from senior management to delivery drivers is essential.
- Demonstrated experience of managing workflows to ensure dispatch occurs on time, and strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy is essential.

The minimum wage is $26.50 per hour and the maximum is $27.00 per hour.
