As a member of the Engineering Team specialising in Signals, you'll play a crucial role in elevating customer satisfaction and stakeholder relations. Your duties will revolve around supporting the engineering aspects of designing railway infrastructure signals assets.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Crafting comprehensive design solutions for various signal systems (Interlocking, Level Crossings CBI, SSI, RRI).
- Participating in the development of long-term asset management strategies for signal assets.
- Providing technical expertise for the maintenance and enhancement of signal assets.
- Guiding and supervising junior engineers, offering them technical mentorship.
- Generating and scrutinizing technical documentation, specifications, and standards.

**Qualifications**:

- Possession of a relevant Engineering degree, with a specialisation in electronics, mechatronics, or a related field.
- Recognition of overseas qualifications in New Zealand or an IQA via NZQA.
- A minimum of 5 years' demonstrable experience in Railway Signals Design.
- Proficiency in generating scopes, scheme plans, and detailed designs for signaling systems (Mainline or Metros).
- Hands-on familiarity with CAD/MicroStation.
- Experience in Testing & Commissioning and Installation is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, encompassing both verbal and written form.
- Exceptional organizational abilities to navigate conflicting demands and meet deadlines.
