The Pou Āwhina will work closely with programme staff, rangatahi, whānau, government, youth and community stakeholders to create a positive, culturally safe, and supportive environment that nurtures growth and belonging.

The Pou Awhina will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of kaupapa Māori Mahi Whakaara Youth Programme.

We seek a Pou Awhina that will inspire, empower, and develop rangatahi.

This role combines cultural guidance, mentorship, and practical support to ensure the programmes are engaging, inclusive, and aligned with tikanga Māori values.

**Confidently integrate kaupapa Māori values into all aspects of the programme.

**Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage effectively with rangatahi and whānau.

**Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.

**Other Requirements**

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Hold a valid driver’s licence and be willing to travel.
