About the role As a Case Manager working for the Ministry, you have the opportunity to create real change within whanau's lives. You will have the opportunity to influence positive change for our local people and communities. As a Case Manager you will have kanohi to kanohi (face to face) interactions with our people, assisting whanau to access employment and training opportunities, housing support and financial assistance to a range of Ministry products and services. As a Case Manager, you can be the catalyst for positive change within our local communities. You provide a range of support for whanau, such as addressing housing instability through early intervention, assisting with homelessness and accessibility to housing solutions, that are aligned to individual needs. You partner with people to help them navigate through a current buoyant and changing labour market. Through mutual discussions, identify areas that will assist whanau to develop their work skills and employability, with a focus on securing sustainable employment outcomes. You will also provide financial support to whanau, ensuring that our people have access to a range of financial products, testing eligibility to, and ensuring that our people are aware of, any Ministry products they may be eligible to, depending on their individual circumstances.

What skills do I need to be a Case Manager? You need to be an empathic individual with a genuine desire to help whanau. You enjoy working and interacting with people from all backgrounds. You will need strong communication and negotiation skills, be able to motivate and empower our people in a non-judgemental way. Remain calm under pressure and enjoy sourcing solutions for problems. Your welcoming approach and Manaakitanga for our people will assist you to get to know them, understand them and how best to support them. You treat people with respect and show care for those more vulnerable. You will bring a high level of personal integrity to the role and be comfortable and proficient navigating computer systems. You will have a full clean driver's licence.

**Salary range**: $66,660.00 - $80,585.00
