The Opportunity:
We are on the lookout for an experienced and motivated individual to join our Canterbury paving team as a foreperson. In this role, you will see yourself responsible for leading a team and driving productivity, whilst ensuring all work is delivered safely on time, within budget and to the highest industry standard.

In addition to the above you will:

- Plan jobs with the assistance of the supervisor, engineers & manager.
- Deal with changes as they occur on the job and communicate this effectively to both your team, managers and the client.
- Have a pro-active approach to Health & Safety, whilst ensuring your team adhere to all policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on the importance of reporting.
- Develop new team members and grow a highly performing crew.
- Set an example to your peers and strive for excellence.

What we need from you:

- Class 2 full licence and WTR endorsements are essential
- A background in a variety of asphalt activities and disciplines
- Flexibility to work away from home and on nightshift
- Good computer skills (we operate iPads for QA & scheduling)
- A proven record of excellent leadership and communication skills
- Be an honest, trustworthy and motivated leader
- A positive attitude and of course, a sense of humour
