**Trainer - YavuLocation**: Auckland or WellingtonContract: Permanent - full timeAbout the roleAre you a training specialist who is looking for a new challenge?We have a newly created role, for a Trainer to provide training in the use of Yavu. This would suit someone who has a passion for training and enjoys working in a high performing team.Yavu provides a platform for government agencies and external organisations to build their understanding of Pacific peoples. This can lead to more effective relationships, improved outcomes, and better quality of life for all Pacific People.Our new Yavu Trainer, will provide training in the use of the Yavu tool for people who work in local and central government, and the private sector who need to engage with Pacific communities, including service delivery providers, frontline staff across government and NGOs, policy advisors, public and private sectors community groups across New Zealand.This role is one of two newly developed cultural trainer positions within the Ministry.What you'll bring
- Significant Pacific cultural competence and experience in adult education practices
- Ability to speak a Pacific Language(s) fluently
- Collaborative skills and experience in stakeholder engagement
- The ability to communicate clearly and concisely to a wide range of audiences and using a variety of methods, including written, oral and through presentations
