**The Role**
This role is accountable carrying out network inspections to satisfy the requirements of the West Auckland Road Maintenance Contract. It will include routine cyclic inspections as specified, investigations of CRM and other notified defects and network video drive overs to ensure compliance within the relevant standards, scoping the programmed works identified through inspections and supporting the planning of the forwards works programme. This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week, remunerated at $72,100.
Your key responsibilities include the inspection, rating, scoping and reporting on conditions of assets on the network. You will undertake the delivery of monthly unplanned reactive maintenance programmes within agreed timeframes and ensuring the accurate recording of data uploaded into an asset management system such as RAMM or Asset Vision.
**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will need to be diligent with planning and managing time and should be able to adjust to changing priorities. Your ability to effectively balance quality and quantity as well as your ability to problem solve and look beyond the immediate and find the root cause are essential to this role. You will also have:
- 3 years of solid relevant experience in construction industry with civil background
- A degree in Civil Engineering and diploma in Construction Management
- Proven skills and exposure with regular quality checks, material testing and inspection of works, onsite testing, and measuring, recording and writing of detailed reports on work progress
- Proven ability to conduct on-site audits and supervision, plus the ability to resolve or correct issues
- Class 1 NZ Drivers Licence
- Class 2 NZ Drivers Licence preferred
- Relevant Temporary Traffic Management qualification
