Our in-house development capabilities play an important role in the continual growth of the business, working on customer-facing solutions, developing new product lines, and implementing automation for improved customer experience and internal efficiency. To support our continued growth, we are looking for a Database Administrator. The DBA will be a trusted team member who takes a hands-on approach to serving our internal team members and external customers. During your first year, you will take ownership of a migration from MS Server 2016 and 2019 into 2022. The majority of your time will be spent creating scalability whilst improving efficiencies and security for the Organization. You will also support customer escalations from our internal global support teams.

**Work Locations**:
This position must live and be authorized to work in New Zealand; you may work entirely remote or hybrid from our Auckland office.

**What You Will Do**:

- MS SQL Replication
- Database development and design
- Data migration
- Assisting with code reviews
- Designing databases according to the needs and specifications of an organization
- Test databases, SQL query tuning
- Develop database documentation
- Work with the front-end developers
- Participating in the entire software development life cycle
- Analyze database requirements and prioritize tasks
- Other duties as required

**What You Will Need**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is strongly desired; equivalent experience is accepted in place of a degree
- Knowledge of MS SQL (stored procedures, queries, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Database Replication (transactional and merge)
- Data migration
- TFS (Dev Ops)
- Good documentation writing skills
- Experience with Agile Methodology
- Database and query tuning
- Some.Net and.Net Core development experience
- Experience with MySQL preferred, not required.
- Using assemblies on MS SQL preferred, not required.
- Telco experience is a strong advantage
