Are you an experienced administrator or someone who is adaptable and a quick learner? We have an exciting part time, administration role in 4th Floor Outpatients and are on the lookout for someone to join us in a part time, fixed-term capacity until 1 January 2024.
Mō te tūranga - About the role
Our Outpatients Department are a team through and through, and this role plays an essential role in ensuring the successful provision of patient centred care by fostering a welcoming environment for patients right from the get go. Duties involve making appointments (New and Follow Up) for multiple small services such as Dermatology, Podiatry, Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine into the computer system, preparing referrals to send to Clinicians for triaging, receiving them back and loading these onto waiting lists from where appointments for clinics and associated tests are made. This role is heavily involved with administrative processes for Outpatients, and we're looking for someone who is 'on the ball' when it comes to ensuring that the necessary paperwork is absolutely spot on The role also involves a significant amount of communication with other pivotal key members, including patients.

Excellent computer skills are essential and database experience using iPM is preferred but full training will be given to the successful applicant to ensure that you are comfortable and confident with our systems.

Utu whānui - Salary range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the PSA South Island Clerical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and the salary will be in accordance with the National Health Administration Workers Pay Scale, Band 5 between $67,932 and $70,951 p.a. dependant on relevant experience.
