We are looking for a Biomedical Technician to join an innovative company that pride themselves on their quality of work, with low staff turnover, great work culture and extensive training provided on international healthcare brands such as Adec, Sirona, Welch Allyn, Steris, Stryker, W&H, Melag and Howard Wright.
This is your opportunity to work in a high functioning team who come from a range of trade backgrounds and are passionate about what they do, This role would ideally suit someone with a trade background who enjoys learning new skills, has an aptitude for problem solving and who possesses a high level of attention to detail. Working within the medical field the ideal person will have experience either within or working around the healthcare environment and have a good knowledge of expectations including privacy with healthcare information and the ability to relate to people of all backgrounds with empathy and understanding while undertaking the required work to the highest standard.
**Desirable attributes**:
- EAS or EST would be an advantage
- Willingness to learn and upskill
- Well presented professional with proven customer service
- Ability to work both in a team and independently
- Positive attitude and able to work under pressure
- Great attention to detail and the ability to follow direction
- Competent in navigating various IT systems and apps
- Proven ability working with tools / mechanical experience
- Experience working with pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical systems an advantage
- Due to working within healthcare we require a current vaccination status for Covid19
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Field service and workshop equipment repairs
- Installation of medical and dental equipment
- Testing, certification and preventative maintenance servicing of medical and dental equipment
- Collection and delivery of equipment
- Sourcing, stocking and warehousing of parts
- Asset management, reporting and record keeping
- Design and build of medical equipment
- Providing phone advice and working to a on call roster
- Service, clean and testing of community oral health mobile dental units
- Assist with the relocation of community oral health mobile dental units
Due to the nature of the work a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and police vetting is required.
