Carters National Support office has an opportunity for a Payroll Specialist to join the team. Our new Payroll Specialist will be driven and passionate, keen to get things done and able to make an impact in a fast-paced environment. The role sits within our friendly and helpful HR team.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager the role is responsible for the end-to-end payroll process across Carters nationally. We will be introducing a new payroll system this year which is exciting, but your day to day duties will include the following:

- Processing weekly waged payroll for 1000+ staff
- Assisting with the monthly salaried payroll
- Process timesheets and variations on a weekly basis including allowances, leave and employee reimbursements
- Process any pay adjustments
- Set up new employee records in the payroll database
- Process terminations
- Payroll enquiries as necessary from branches and finance.
- Assist with new payroll system implementation

**About you**

We're looking for a team player with:

- Previous payroll experience in a high volume environment is essential (we run a weekly payrun for 1000+ waged workers)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment
- Reliable; must have a good attendance and punctuality record
- Must be trustworthy and demonstrate commitment to confidentiality
- Highly organised and ability to multi-task
- Experience in payroll systems or other HRIS system
- Strong attention to detail
