**He angitūtanga: The opportunity**
We have an exciting opportunity for a Building Surveyor to join the Premium Services team, within Building Consents and specialising in Reclad Building Consent Processing.

As a go-to person on everything technical, you will be key in determining when Consents have demonstrated compliance with the Building Code and subsequently approving the issue of the consent. A large scope of your role involves cladding, external envelope, and weather tightness to not only ensure the integrity of the building but its ability to keep exterior elements out and interior elements inside.

**He kōrero mōu: About you**
This is a grunty and substantial piece of work, and we’ll be looking for individuals with the right experience and qualifications to match it. Your background will demonstrate considerable experience in Building and Construction, ideally in a regulatory environment where you have gained excellent knowledge of weather tightness principles and remediation design. Understanding the Local Government Act 2002, Building Act 2004, the New Zealand Building Code and/or the Resource Management Act 1991 would also be ideal.
