**Responsibilities**:
Surface Preparation:
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and ensuring they are smooth and free from imperfections.

Remove old paint, wallpaper, or damaged materials as needed.

Painting and Decorating:
Select and mix paint colors to achieve the desired shade and finish.

Create decorative elements, such as stencils or faux finishes, to enhance the visual appeal of spaces.

Material and Equipment Management:
Maintain an inventory of paints, brushes, tools, and other supplies.

Clean and maintain painting equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.

Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety guidelines and use protective equipment to prevent accidents and exposure to hazardous materials.

Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, especially in the disposal of paints and other chemicals.

Customer Service:
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and preferences.

Provide advice and recommendations on color schemes and finishes.

Address client concerns and ensure customer satisfaction with the completed work.

**Requirements**:
Proven experience as a Painter and Decorator.

Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and tools.

Proficiency in surface preparation, priming, and finishing.

Ability to work with precision and attention to detail.

Creativity in design and color selection.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical stamina and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.

Knowledge of safety practices and regulations.

Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

NZ residency or have a valid work visa.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with commercial and residential projects.

Knowledge of digital tools for color matching and design visualization.

Familiarity with different types of wallpaper installation techniques.

Working Conditions:
Work may involve outdoor and indoor settings, depending on the project.

May require working at heights or in confined spaces and travel as required.

Use of protective gear such as masks, gloves, and goggles is essential to prevent exposure to chemicals.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
